An editorial assessment is a valuable first overview of your manuscript by a professional editor. It provides a high-level, objective critique on foundational elements like character dimensionality and plot continuity. It gives in-depth feedback on plot, characterization, structure, consistency, and style.
This service evaluates sections of your manuscript to gauge what type or level of editing could help polish it. Please note that this not a beta read. A portion of your book or about 2,000 words will be edited to provide you with a sample. This service takes two to three weeks depending on the complexity of the manuscript and our work queue.
Prime Solutions editors follow the latest edition of the Chicago Manual of Style, which is the premier style guide used by book publishers. Our preferred dictionary is the Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, latest edition.
